I have wanted a dog ever since childhood. My mom is partial to cats and has had them in our home starting from before my birth. Basically, I want a dog that I can wrestle to the ground and run with. I want a dog that will go swimming with me, play fetch, and be there for my family.
Cody
I had the chance to dog sit Cody for a week while his family went on vacation. Cody is such a great dog! His vibrant personality and love of his family has always impressed me. I'll always remember those crazy Hanukkahs, watching Cody open his presents. I remember when I would go on hikes with my friend and his mom and Cody would be there with us-- Good times! I hope to have a dog that is as good of a companion as he has been.
So, Nadia and I have been thinking of getting a dog for some time now. She really wants a Morkie (a cross between Maltese and a Yorkshire Terrier). I want a huge dog-- not some little toy that you can't run and play with.
At First I wanted a Pit Bull, but everyone and their mother told me that was not such a good idea.
I like them for their short hair and strong bodies, but it turns out that people are afraid of them and they tend to be more aggressive than other dogs. I also found out that having this breed will affect one's insurance policy.
Nadia and I agreed finally on an English Bulldog, which has a similar lifestyle as me-- short, stubby, and gassy :-). They are basically couch potatoes that need little exercise.
Yes this cute dog is indeed enticing... until you look at the price tag! In most cases they are a couple of thousand! I couldn't believe it, but it turns out that these plump pups can't give birth naturally and need C-sections. Their back hips just aren't wide enough for their broad chest and shoulders (also another attribute that I share with them).
